About: 21. Law student. Avid people-watcher and pop culture-consumer. Singapore. Mildly stir crazy. I write about my stupid life. I post things that disturb me, and those that inspire me. Gorgeously, but occasionally, they may and do collide.

Internship’s nearly over. It’s been a great ride. It has challenged the jaded-lawyer stereotypes we’ve all been fed and fear ourselves being fed to. The brilliant and the winners of the bell curve may fear nothing, and probably look forward to being the top…bottom feeders. Everyone agrees that the Golden Age of lawyering in Singapore has been laid to rest, what with the pantheon of local legal gods so entrenched and the glut of un-brilliant young lawyers scrabbling at the bottom. Be that as it may, this internship is telling me that things aren’t that bleak for an idealistic kid trying to make a small difference.
But being cooped up in the same conference room with the air and jokes and jibes RELENTLESSLY RECYCLED for over a week now is quite honestly doing my head in :/ I’m sure they’re all lovely people, far more intelligent or exam-smart (these things seem to be exchangeable these days) than I am. Either way, they don’t deserve to have me snap at them. Which I think I might have done today. I think it’s time to revive my muay thai membership.
A&F boys tmr, karaoke with the interns the day after.
